For my free study art class, I'm making a 3D model of Culando. But it was suggested that I first do a clay model. Thanks to the super sculpey that my wonderful girlfriend gave to me a while back, I have the materials already.
It's DONE. For now anyways. Got the whole body finished. Still lumpy, that's due to a number of things, mostly bad planning from the start. I am over all pleased with how this all turned out, but I could have done much better. I may redo him from scratch in the future, getting the inner structure done in one stable piece instead of the mess he is now. The head is solid sculpey, the arms and legs have wire inside, and the chest is filled with tin foil. They are held together by sculpey and toothpicks. Enough to keep it stable for now, but I could have done better if the structure was in place before I started modelling.
This is likely the final version of this model, so it'll stay in my main gallery.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
